Communications Planner, cleantech and circular economy
to its CleanTurku team. The position is for a fixed term from 1 March 2020 – 31 December 2020.
We are looking for a Communications Planner for a fixed-term employment to support the growth and success of the cleantech industry in the Turku region. As a communications specialist you will communicate about the growth potential of companies in the changing operating environment in which low-carbon status and sustainable use of raw materials are requirements for the future operations of a sustainable company. Your goal is to provide information about the strengths of the Turku region in order to attract international companies, experts and investments to the region, and to make visible the public business and innovation services in the Turku region.

In your position you will work in close co-operation with our CleanTurku experts and contribute to making the Turku region globally known as an important and business-friendly development environment. In your everyday work you support the efforts of our experts for reaching the region’s joint goals in circular economy together with companies, municipalities and universities. Project work and knowledge of the EU’s funding instruments are a benefit in the job. Your duties will include comprehensive planning, budgeting, developing and measuring the impact of communication as well as multi-channel implementation of communication actions together with the rest of our marketing and communication team.
We require from you the ability to communicate about the growth potential and challenges of companies in the changing operating environment, fluent English language proficiency, and good co-operation and interaction skills. Knowledge of the Finnish language is a benefit but not necessary. We expect you to have an applicable higher academic degree (e.g. social sciences or business administration) and at least 3–5 years of work experience e.g. in positions of sustainability communication in the private or public sector, preferably in a field in which the themes of cleantech, bio-economy or circular economy play a central role.
