Kick-off: Growth from the Electrification Business Ecosystem

Yrityssalo Oy ja Turku Science Park Oy ovat käynnistäneet lounaissuomalaisen sähköistymisen yritysekosysteemin rakentamisen. Torstaina 18.2.2021 klo 9.00 – 12.30 järjestettävä kick-off-tilaisuus kokoaa alan toimijat yhteen kuulemaan ajankohtaisia yrityspuheenvuoroja ja luomaan perustaa uudelle yhteistyöverkostolle. Tilaisuus on pääosin englanninkielinen.

Yrityssalo Oy and Turku Science Park Oy have started building a business ecosystem for electrification in southwestern Finland. The kick-off event, which will take place on Thursday 18 February 2021 from 9.00 to 12.30 (CET +1), will bring together industry players to hear current business speeches and lay the foundations for a new cooperation network. The event is mainly in English.

09:05 – 09:30 National Battery Strategy, Jyrki Alkio, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment (TEM)
Jyrki Alkio is working as a chief specialist at the Ministy of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland. He is leading the circular economy and carbon neutrality team in the ministry. He was also the vice chairman of the group developing the Finnish national battery strategy in 2020. Jyrki Alkio has background in journalism. He has been working for the leading Finnish news publications, last as the editor-in-chief of magazine Tekniikka&Talous.

Matti Hietanen is CEO of Finnish Minerals Group and vice chairman of the board of Terrafame Oy. Mr. Hietanen is also a member of the board of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Oy which is one of the leading research and technology organizations in Europe. Prior to his career in metals and mining Mr. Hietanen worked as a civil servant in the ministry of economic affairs as well as in other ministries.
