Project partners: University of Oulu (coordinator), BusinessOulu, Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, CEMIS, KuopioHealth co-op, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, and Turku Science Park Ltd..

Funding: Project is funded through The Council of Oulu Region (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland’s support for thematic network collaboration) Total budget of the project EUR 625 000, share of the ministry 80% (EUR 500 000). Turku Science Park Ltd.’s share of total budget is EUR 119 250.

Project in a nutshell: National network cooperation, built in collaboration of the five regions, to foster data-led innovations in health and wellbeing.

HYTKI builds service models that enable peer learning to support companies, research institutes, and municipal and city actors in execution of secondary use of data and usage of health and wellbeing data in their business, research, and service production.

HYTKI focuses on 1) identifying and making visible the special expertise of the participating regions, 2) data on new product and service innovations, business, and new value as part of proactive healthcare and well-being also in urban development and 3) operating models and capabilities of data utilization and analytical skills.

Duties of Turku Science Park Ltd.: Turku Science Park Ltd. is the partial implementer of the project. According to the project plan, the main responsibilities of the organization are: a) defining the roles of network cooperation and b) linking to national and international networks (in cooperation with Oulu). In addition to this, Turku Science Park Oy participates in the implementation of the contents of other work packages, such as project management, reporting and communication, in accordance with the project plan.
