The tools listed below are great for testing and developing your company’s readiness for internationalisation. There are many tools available for assisting with the hiring and relocation of international talents. These often take the form of both funding and servies.

Work in Finland – employer advice for international recruitment

The Work in Finland employer advice for international recruitment is a national and centralised service that provides employers with general advice on international recruitment and work-based immigration.

Experts in the service help employers operating in Finland at all stages of international recruitment, such as the recruitment of international experts, pay and permit processes and settling in.

You can contact the employer advisory services at a low threshold when planning international recruitment and needing help in understanding the overall picture of the international recruitment process and identifying the necessary measures.

Funding and Subsidies

Talent Funding

Talent funding is suitable for SMEs and midcap companies that want to improve their capacity for international growth by creating working, organizational, and management practices that support internationalization and improve their ability to increase the number of international experts in Finnish companies.

The maximum amount of Talent funding is EUR 50,000. Funding from Business Finland will cover 50% of the project costs, which must not exceed EUR 100,000. The funding is a non-repayable grant. No advance is paid – the full amount of the funding will be paid on completion of the final report.

Taxation of Relocation Sevices

There are a lot of official and practical matters that need to be considered when settling into a new country and employees generally need support to be able to address all of these matters in the host country. It is commonplace for the employer to support the employee in this respect through direct cost reimbursements or by engaging e.g. with a service provider that will guide the employee throughout the relocation process.
