WeChat is a Chinese multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment application. Imagine Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tripadvisor, Foodora, Amazon shops and mobile pay rolled into one. By 2018 it was one of the world’s largest standalone mobile apps with over 1 billion monthly active users. In this workshop we go through the basics of Wechat and see how the Chinese use the app in everyday life, private and business.

The event is free of charge and open to everyone, but requires registration. Please install WeChat before the event.

The course is given in cooperation with Tianjin University of Technology student group and the language of the presentation is English. At the end of the course students can give a short “clinic” where they can help you with the app.
