Talent Boost Breakfast: Successful Culturally Diverse Company

The first Talent Boost Breakfast in 2020 will focus on diversity and how it boosts the success of the company. Companies are competing for skilled workers. One answer is to recruit international talents locally or from abroad. Come and hear about the best practices and how your company can become even more successful!

You can also meet actors of Turku Region that can advise your company in international recruitment. The event is part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment campaign on enhancing diversity.

Satu Salonen, Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce
Satu Salonen is Project Manager for Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce’s Talent Boost project. The project focuses on supporting companies’ capabilities to recruit and manage diverse and international teams, and enhances connections between employers and international talents in Finland.

Mariia Bieskova, Benete Oy
Benete Oy is a Finnish-based startup operating in the area of welfare technology. At the core of Benete’s business concept is Life Analytics Platform recognizing the most subtle changes in an individual’s functionality. Benete’s vision is to bring the data on individual functional capabilities for early diagnosis and effective treatment of various diseases, including cognitive disorders.

Mariia Bieskova is the Operations and Privacy Manager. She is spearheading Benete’s GDPR compliance and performs other legal tasks like IP rights and contract management.

Tuuli Suominen, Silo.ai
Silo.ai is the largest AI lab in the Nordics. It delivers AI-driven solutions to clients by providing world-class AI expertise and tooling for computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning. The company currently has 66 employees from 11 countries which include China, Turkey, Russia, The Netherlands and Iran.

Tuuli Suominen is the Head of People Operations. She has a long background in HR and currently her role is to develop the company culture, recruit the best talents and lead the internal learning lab.

Tuija Kantoluoto, Naapurin maalaiskana Oy
Naapurin Maalaiskana currently employs 210 people. The company’s market share and profitability are constantly increasing. More than half (55 %) of the company’s 170 production workers have a foreign background and speak 17 different languages creating a multicultural working environment. The company’s two offical languages are Finnish and English.

Tuija Kantoluoto, CEO of FoodHR, HR Consultant and HR Specialist at Naapurin Maalaiskana Ltd., has over 20 years or experience in food and process industry

This Talent Turku event is part of the national Talent Boost programme and is organized by Turku Science Park Ltd, World Trade Center Turku, Turku Chamber of Commerce, Humak University of Applied Sciences, Federation of Finnish Enterprises and Business Finland. The event is free of charge and aimed at companies recruiting international workforce and companies interested in international recruitment. The event is partly funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).
