Curriculum for the future, Keynote speech by Perttu Pölönen

Perttu Pölönen has been given many titles, such as inventor, author, composer, keynote speaker, futurist and visionaire. In Finnish media he has been called a gentle highbrow and a fearless inventor – but deep down, he would rather not use titles at all. Perttu has an endlessly curious mind and a growth mindset, which has lead him to do a lot and learn a lot. His motto? When nothing is certain, everything is possible.

In his speech Perttu will share his ideas from his book Curriculum for the future, which was published in 2020. He will talk about the skills that will help us succeed in an unprecedented and uncertain future. He will help us to look into the near future from different perspectives, challenge our thinking and discover new ideas.

Panel discussion: Ensuring right skills and competences for future innovation

The keynote speech will be followed by a panel discussion, which will reflect the Curriculum for the future and discuss how do we make sure that we will have the best skills and competences to boost innovation and ensure that Finland will be among the winners in the global competition. The discussion will be moderated by Vesa Taatila, Rector and President of Turku University of Applied Sciences and Member of the Research and Innovation Council.
